Payment & Cancellation Policy
- A £25.00 per person per course non-refundable deposit must be paid when booking; with the balance paid at least 7 days prior to the start of the course. A booking is final when all payments have been made and Lakeland Powerboating Training has received the booking form.
- In the case of cancellation by the student, the deposit will not be refunded.
- If, for any reason, Lakeland Powerboating is unable to offer the confirmed course we will refund the deposit and any balance paid. Lakeland Powerboating will not be responsible for any other costs including accommodation or transportation.
- Lakeland Powerboating is not responsible for course cancellation due to poor weather. Lakeland Powerboating will try to rearrange any course affected by weather in full or in part.
Complaints Policy
Lakeland Power Boating aims to provide the highest standards of service to its customers. If you have been less than fully satisfied with the service you have received, we would welcome your comments and suggestions so that we can rectify the problem and improve our service in the future.
Data Policy
On application for your course, your name, email, date of birth and address will be held by Lakeland Powerboating for administrative purposes and to record course details, certification etc. On completion of your course your name, date of birth and certificate number will also be transferred to the RYA database for the purpose of recording details of the course and any certification gained as a result of it. This information allows Lakeland Powerboating and the RYA to record your certification centrally, and to update any records we may already hold about you or your qualifications.
Management of your course and any instructional support that you may need is provided by the RYA Recognised Training Centre that you booked your course with and may be time limited.
Requesting removal of your personal data from Lakeland Powerboating
If you want details of your personal data and certificate removed from the Lakeland Powerboating database, please email your request to lakelandpowerboating@hotmail.com giving your name, date of birth, the name of the course you want removed from our records. Please note that removal of course details from the Lakeland Powerboating database, means that any certification gained as a result of this course will not be verifiable by Lakeland Powerboating, nor would Lakeland Powerboating be able to issue a replacement certificate.

If you also want details of you certificate removed from the RYA database, please email your request to interactive@rya.org.uk giving your name, date of birth, RYA reference/membership number (if known) and the name of the course you want removed from your records. Please note that removal of course details from the RYA database, means that any certification gained as a result of this course will not be verifiable by the RYA, nor would the RYA be able to issue a replacement certificate.
